Ronald L. Palumbo
​

        Ronald Palumbo earned his Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from the University of Connecticut and his Juris Doctorate from the Quinnipiac Law School where he was associate editor of the Law Review and two time American Jurisprudence Award winner. Mr. Palumbo has been a member of the Connecticut Bar and Federal Court since 1987.    His legal background includes practice in small and medium sized firms. In 1998, Mr. Palumbo opened Palumbo & DeLaura, LLC here in New Haven in an effort to focus his practice on our valued clients and provide quality, comprehensive and effective legal services at more competitive rates.  Mr. Palumbo practiced as a commercial litigator for the first ten years of his career and then moved his focus to banking, corporate, transactions and commercial loan workouts.

          Mr. Palumbo handles all transaction related matters for the firm.  The firm has completed commercial lending transactions for many banks including TD Bank, N.A., UPS Capital, Bankwell Bank, Ion Bank and Guilford Savings Bank. He handles commercial real estate, construction lending and asset based lending has provided legal representation to buyers, sellers, lessors and lessees.  Mr. Palumbo has handled all types of real estate matters for private individuals, financial institutions, corporate real estate owners and developers. Mr. Palumbo is an approved closing attorney for TD Bank, N.A., Peoples Bank, Guilford Savings Bank, UPS Capital, Bankwell Bank and Ion Bank.  He has closed loans for out of state mortgage companies and institutional lenders such as Chase Bank, Bank of America, N.A. and Wells Fargo Bank.

                Mr. Palumbo resides in Cheshire, Connecticut . Mr. Palumbo was a member of the Cheshire Public Building Commission, served on the Board of Managers of Connex Insurance Services, LLC and was a member of the Unitas Club.

Scott C. DeLaura

       

       Mr. DeLaura is a member of the Connecticut Bar and the Federal Bar for the District of Connecticut, having practiced law in the State of Connecticut continuously for thirty four years. Mr. DeLaura oversees the firm’s litigation and has substantial experience in the Superior Courts of the State of Connecticut and the Federal Court, including U.S. District and Bankruptcy Courts in Connecticut.   Mr. DeLaura’s practice has primarily focused on servicing the firm's bank clients in commercial work outs, foreclosures, collections, creditors bankruptcy representation and defense work.

        

      Although the focus of Mr. DeLaura's work has been Bank and Commercial litigation, he has always been actively involved in the firm's general practice of law.  The complexity of the banking and commercial practice has translated into valuable experience for a variety of  legal matters which require counsel and/or litigation including boundary disputes, tax appeals, personal injury, torts, contractual disputes and domestic issues.

      

       Mr. DeLaura is originally from and currently resides in Niantic, Connecticut.  He is a very active volunteer in Southeastern Connecticut providing pro bono counsel to the Hygienic Art Gallery located in New London which provides support for area Arts and Education in Southeastern Connecticut while serving on the Board of Directors and as its Vice President.

Patrick Fryer

 

        Attorney Fryer received his J.D. from Quinnipiac School of Law.  Mr. Fryer was the recipient of the Distinguished Academic Achievement Award in Bankruptcy.  He received his Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Connecticut where he majored in History and Political Science.  Mr. Fryer has been practicing law for 19 years. He is an important part of the firm’s litigation practice and handles commercial closings and loan sales.  Mr. Fryer is a member of the Connecticut Bar and the Federal District Court for the District of Connecticut. 

 

        Mr. Fryer works with Mr. DeLaura handling the firm's litigation matters as well as servicing bank clients with non-litigation matters including commercial workouts, note sales, forbearance agreements and real estate closings.  Mr. Fryer has prepared appellate briefs and orally argued before the Connecticut Appellate Court.  Mr. Fryer has been with the firm as Senior Associate for the past six years.

        Mr. Fryer currently resides in Branford, Connecticut with his wife and two school aged children.
